A Redo of a Boerne Condo for a Deserving Client
Coral and touches of yellow and beige bring this open space together. Each color component of this open concept first floor winds around with these colors that pull it together seamlessly. My client wanted no clutter, easy to maintain, and less is more. However, a center living room chandelier and a wavy chrome and crystal chandelier over the dining table, brings a once simple, perfectly spaced sitting area, into a room of light with unexpected touches of glam. Yes, it is easy on the eye, and no messy pillows to adjust, but classy fixtures and bold prints that combine all the colors just makes one feel so at home. Nothing was overlooked or just simply chosen from a catalogue. All items were the client's vision of rooms just for her. We used her keepsakes, her photos, and her art work. Now she can have her space to call her own. Her choices, her colors, her vision is what it took to bring a little happiness into my client's life. It truly made me happy to just give her what she asked for and have her break out of the norm a little and to my surprise allowing a little crystal and sparkling lights of class. And yes, those hand blown crystal finials in turquoise blue became a simple and elegant way to place those panels on each side of a window. That window used to be a little dull and plain. She is glad to come home to a house of her own. Don't worry about mixing styles and finishes. There are no absolute rules. The only design criteria is that you like what you see. You like to mix and match, or you want simply choices of grey and whites. These rooms could have gone any direction. She chose this look and all were happy. It is the designer's job to pull all the client's choices together using expertise only interior designers have created through many years of experience
